Mama's Little Rocker

It's probably a sin to be this proud of my kid.

I don't care.

This is my thirteen-year-old performing in her middle school's production of Fame.

The kid ROCKS.

Literally.

Fully justified pride -- not a sin at all!

She was Awesome (capital A intended)! How much did you love that movie/show when we were young? "You want fame? Well fame costs. And right here is where you start paying. In sweat...."

Whatever happened to Bruno Martelli? :)

Oh, wow.
I'd like to be that cool now, much less when I was thirteen.

God is totally over this sin, if it is one - he's way proud, too.

How come *I* have tears in my eyes too? She's not even my kid. Sheesh.

Okay, so I'm still gushing--She's only been paying guitar for a little over a year! I love her calm proficiency and how she totally was relaxed enough to still look around and appreciate what was going on around her. I tell you--some day I hope to grow up to BE her!

wow, seriously? that was amazing
That was SO COOL! Hurray for Ana - being on stage is one thing, but having a "spotlight" part requires extra compsure. She's GOT IT!

You have done some seriously good parenting for her to show such self-confidence and poise under pressure. Congrats to you and her!

Yay Ana! She DOES rock.
She nailed the lead and, dare I need say it, she cuts a fine figure with her guitar.
