Why I Totally Could Rule The World
July 18, 2010
I Hate to Brag...
It's my first tomato sandwich of the season, made with my very own homegrown tomatoes, which are starting to come in.
I wish I could share it with you.
I know your mouth is watering. I'm sorry.

One thing I love is a tomato sandwich! My tomatoes have blossoms on them and that is about it. :(

I wish you could share it with me too! I have good size green tomatoes hanging on the plants but they're still a few weeks away from ripening.

So what kind of cheese is that?

! I thought of you yesterday, as I snagged the tomato harvest for sandwiches. (And some basil.)
I told Dude I didn't think we needed any other food this week. Sadly, he doesn't like tomatos. Guess he'll be dieting.

Oh, Barb, brag away! I've got one just-turning-orange tomato I've been keeping an eye on - check it twice a day!
And I've got some homemade mayo in the fridge, ready to go!

That looks sooo good. The racoons got my first ripe ones! Now I am bagging the plants at night so I get the next ones for myself!

oh I hate you. You can't get a tomato worth eating in Alaska at anytime of year...

You know what kills me? It's how well you know your "audience". I could write a post about being pro-choice and not get one comment. You? 12 comments on a piece of bread with tomatoes on it. LOL! You rock sista!

Tell me that's Real Mayo? (Or at least a super-tasty cheese?) Suddenly my mouth is watering, and I can't get to the farmers' market this week...Bah!
