I Blame HER

These are my paternal grandparents. I love this picture because there are exactly three pictures of my grandparents together and what? She couldn't take the apron off, not even for a minute? Anyway, as I was lying in bed last night counting calories to fall asleep, I suddenly remembered this picture. And I got a little frightened over what might be if I don't get on the Weight Watchers Train right now.

Freaking fat genes.

Plus, that expression on her face? Exactly how I feel.

(Okay, just in case you are worried that this is turning into a weight-loss blog, I'd like to reassure you. It's just that while I'm dieting, that's ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT --at least for the first week. So, soon, I'll returning to blogging about... well, whatever it is that I blog about. Life? Knitting? Submissive Urination in Dogs?)

Points - you count points, not calories. It's fun, like a game. Except you want to lose.

I LOVE pictures like that...your grandfather had the same cool guy tilt on his hat that my grandfather always had. Sigh. If he were a LOT shorter, I might think we were long lost cousins, that picture looks so familiar. ;)

Suburbancorrespondent wins the prize for the paradigm shift early in the day category. I prefer to think of it as Chinese Water Torture. Hum. Wonder why I've had problems with this.

I hear you loud and clear. I wrote on my blog today about even my underwear being tight! Uhhh, I mean...the damn dryer must be SHRINKING MY UNDIES!

Barb. You're gorgeous.

By the way, your grandmother is thinner than I am, I think.

Trust me, there are many worse things you can be than fat.

I just felt the need to say that. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.

I love Weight Watchers. I don't like the fact that I've had to use them so many times in my life because I keep gaining and loosing the same 20 pounds. I guess that's better than just gaining 20 pounds every couple of years though!

I started WW 6 days ago and have lost 2 pounds. It really does work. (It doesn't hurt that I've been going to the gym like a mad woman either :)

I don't like the way I feel in my skin either. I'm just uncomfortable.

GO US! GO!

Um, I want to see you with your hair like that, in a braid across your crown. Not your tiara, your crown!

Love you!

Ha.. I find myself counting back over the day to see what I've eaten.. hoping it won't hurt me to bad the next day when I step on the scale.
