SO Unplugging THAT

So, my neighbor's house looks like this: (Click to enlarge their delightful Christmas light display.)

And then we have the Coopers' house, sitting up on the hill, shining that unfortunate...um...symbol for all to see.

Maybe people will think it's a cigar.

I think if you surround it with lots of other lights, it won't be quite as obvious.

So I see your living next to the Griswalds!!! lol
Your neighbors house is absolutely beautiful, except they are missing the candles in the window!!! lol. Put candles in all your windows and your house will look spectacular. Understated!!! That picture of my old house really got to me!!! Miss you!!!

Have a very phallic Christmas!

Cracking me up over here!
Barb, you clearly need me in your 'hood. I decorate indoors, but outdoors, well, we have a giant tacky Santa that we sometimes manage to put up. Our approach has 3 benefits: I'm saving the planet with fewer lights. I have more cash for whatever charity is currently twisting my arm. And I can concentrate on the menu and wine pairings, my favorite thing about the holidays.

Awww, it's not that bad! If you really gotta change it tho? You could always just disguise it (wrap it with red and white lights to make it into a peppermint stick) or work the angle and put blinking fountain light out the top....your neighbors would SO love that. Even better you can answer the door all innocence and make them wonder if you KNOW. LOL
