Feeling A Little Conflicted

So, you know how I'm CRAZY about my little family?

Well, I'm feeling a little guilty.

Um, don't hate me but Coop took the girls on a short ski-trip for the weekend and I have two full days to myself.

Two full days!

It just stretches out before me, like an entire carpet of possibilities. I can WRITE! I can eat cheese and crackers for every meal! I can stay up all night browsing the Burpee Seed Catalog if I want! I can watch HGTV and plan my acceptance speech for when I win the HGTV Dream Home! I can cuddle with BOTH cats! I can redecorate my closet or organize my sock drawer! I can throw a wild party and get a dragon tattoo...

Clearly, this new found unfetteredness has gone to my head because, um, well, it's 3:00 in the afternoon here and not only am I eating my lunch/dinner but I just poured a glass of wine. Will you look at what came in the mail today??

And, mercy, look at THIS:

Well, there go the plans for the wild party and tattoo.

The following is a gratuitous photo of Edward's belly for Becca. Because she asked.

I'd give my right arm for a weekend to myself. B has taken the big girls away for weekends lately, but that still leaves me with two kids. le sigh.

Enjoy your peace and knitting and cat cuddles.

and I would love that weekend too, but someone would have to take my cat too cause he's just a big pain (he's not really mine, long story...)

hee hee...you are probably wondering who the heck M is? I really need to get a google ID maybe one that eludes to the fact that I now have three kids. Happy Valentine's Day my friend -

I love that cat! Your table with flowers and yarn and sunshine and wine looks very inviting.

We need yarn details!! What's that purple yarn on the top right?

That is one FUZZY cat.

I don't remember the last time I had a weekend to myself. Although, since I have every day from 9-2:30 to myself (sort of), I keep trying to convince myself it's not necessary.

Ok this sounds SO TOTALLY WONDERFUL!!!! The whole house to ourself to do anything you want. Cook or not cook. Eat cake for dinner if you so choose. Stay in PJs the entire time. No noise. I was losing my mind over the summer and the IO sent me to a local hotel for two nights and I totally need that again.

enjoy your time and your yarn!!! and with your foot doing better, you could pull a tom cruise across the living room floor!

So???? What are you doing? Are you enjoying your time or are you like me--you get more excited about anticipating it, then don't know what to do with yourself?

Oh, you're too funny. OK. I have to finish making dinner, but then I'm coming back to read. Glad everyone made it home safe and sound, and that you had some good quality time with your new ball winder!

Ew. That didn't sound right.
