This is how we do November in Austin...

We've had this wonderful weekend. My brother-in-law and his wife were visiting and there were dinner parties and loads of swimming and wine and happiness... and the weather was in the eighties.

November in Austin, Texas. Good thing we're moving to Long Island because I don't know how much of this bliss we could stand.

How blessed we are, this happy circus.

Dude, we had the air-conditioner on all weekend. It's ridiculous here. I don't even know what to call this season. "Fall with an asterisk?"

Wow. LongGiland. That is quite a move, girl.

Kinda like me moving from Hawai'i to Oregon!

Wonderful photos... I'm glad you could enjoy the sun for a bit longer. Or should that be "a bit LongGilander"?
Um, yeah - I wouldn't get too used to that.

Having moved many, many times to/from radically different places - I hope you find the resilience and the fortitude to deal with it. I always kept my snow shovel no matter where I moved and when I moved to San Antonio in the early 80s I was the only one who could dig out after the freak snowstorm that debilitated the city - thing was, once I dug out of the driveway, I couldn't go anywhere because they had no snowplows. Still , it was deeply satisfying to have that damned snowshovel.

Keep the attitude that you're all in it together and everyplace can be a piece of heaven!

Oh, stop rubbing it in! (But do enjoy it while you can!)

Awwww, fun! But don't worry - they have pools on LonGYland, too. Though I guess you won't be using them in November. Ever.
