Addiction

This morning I noticed that my weird eye spot is definitely worse after I drink coffee in the morning.

And I actually thought to myself, "Well, do I really NEED to see in the morning?"

No, I don't have an addiction to caffeine, why do you ask? Oh, because I'm not willing to let a little BLINDNESS come between me and my morning coffee?

I'm thinking the next few days aren't going to be so pretty...

Ohhh. Barb. Ohhhhhh. The coffee? Wow. Probably means ALL caffeine. Wow. Wowie wow wow wow.

What if you just gave it up for a little while, gave your little retina time to heal? What if I gave it up with you? We can do it! We'd be strong!!

Wow, I must be delirious...I'd better go to bed....

Oh no! No no no no NOOOO!!!! Oh, you poor dear. Caffeine or sight...what a choice. If you let the eyesight win, just keep lots of Advil handy for a couple days until the caffeine headache clears.

Advil, schmadvil. I hear they make a caffeine-spiked aspirin for migraine-type headaches.

All your other readers are funny. Me, not so much. I have to drink too much coffee before any funniness spills over.

How long will you be seeing spots?

Would switching to decaf help?? Or is it the caffeine that's the addiction?

Sunday morning, I woke up at 4:30 am with a blinding headache. I quickly realized I had been drinking caffeine-free soda the night before. I raced downstairs, made a cup of instant coffee, chugged it, and went back to bed. I was fine by 7. That's a sad, little tale, no?
