Bass da Tisch-ewes

I seem to be having  my usual "Ring the New Year in With a Whimper" horrid cold.  I've even been running a fever, which makes things just THAT MUCH MORE SURREAL in my life.  Like, um, just now, I found myself saying, "Starve a Cold, Feed a Beagle."

Woohee.  Maybe I should take less cold medicine.

On the plus side, I've lost three pounds.  Another two-and-a-half pounds and I'll be back to the weight I was at when I started my diet last March.  (Not that I'm bitter.  Much.)

Sympathies! Especially as regards the weight loss. I've been on a diet 3 days and I'm still too terrified to get on the scales and find out just how much I actually gained over Christmas. Better to loose a few, take a valium, then get on the scales.

So sorry to hear it! I had to read your title out loud to get it ... guess I am a little slow this morning! But yay on the little jump in weightloss, see, there's always a sliver lining (sometimes it's not solid silver, just plate, but still.) (and I am not brave enough to weigh myself since Christmas ,either ... I just know my pants are miserably tight ...)

Feel better soon Barb. This is good hibernating weather. Ugh. the scales. I wont go near it since Christmas time. Way too many goodies. Thank goodness for stretchy jeans and big sweaters :o)

In the spirit of misery loves company, I just returned from the doctor. I gained 6.5 pounds. AND I had the flu already so any potential weight loss has already been realized. Happy 2010!
I disagree with the options on the "reactions" boxes at the end of your post. Don't give anyone the opportunity to check off "dumb." People thinking that can (and should) just move on. Give different choices, say...

Hilarious!

Illuminating!

Thoughtful!

I appreciate all of those nice sentiments but I'm not afraid to let people have an opportunity to disagree with me. You are, however, welcome to do whatever you want on your own blog, though.

I actually just noticed the little boxes. Can you add more? Like a "hug" one? Cuz I'm sending you one.
