Weather PEOPLE, I Mean

Here is a little video I took this morning about the snow that is currently falling outside.

Please note that I refer to meteorologists as Weather MEN in this video.  This is less sexism on my part than it is a reflection of the fact that the weather people I watch are all men.  Still, I apologize for any kind of meteorological omission of the females of the profession.

Really, it was a slur on the profession itself.

Yes, it was a bit of a surprise, eh? My oldest left for school at 6:45 - sprinkling of snow on the ground, weatherMEN still saying "snow showers". By the time my younger two were heading out, the roads were AWFUL. Both of the busses got to school late- Rachel's got stuck and had to call a tow. She called on her cell phone - I assume she eventually got to school. I'm staying home for a while.

"Snow accumulating on my dogs..." made me laugh out loud! That should be a new official measure of snowfall

Oh tell me about it!!! Our "weather people" (and we do have female meteorologists in Fargo) kept telling us all last week that we needed to batton down the hatches for a huge snow storm that was supposed to begin on Friday evening and continue until Sunday. Well......

We did get some snow on Friday. Big fluffy flakes, no wind, it was actually quite nice. The temp stayed in the low 30s so it didn't stick too badly to the roads...

On the other hand, MONDAY it snowed and blowed so much that we couldn't see the house next door much of the day. School was cancelled, our bosses sent people home from work, it was absolutely NASTY! And that was the day it was all supposed to end.

Meteorology is the only profession I know where you can be wrong 90% of the time and still keep your job.

Funny that is what WE were saying on Monday. You know...Monday when *I* told you it was coming your way?

So don't listen to your weather people, Listen to me :P

I would love to have another snowfall here... but it's not likely.

I can see you writing a book called, Snow Falling on Dogs".... or at least an article.

Loved the video!
