Not that I'm bitter

How galling is this?

It took him less than ten minutes.

I wonder if I can take some kind of class or something?

Hmmm, seems like a good excuse to say "Hey, honey, this is your job...."

Well, yeah!

Only...

I just...

See, he's always so...

I hate it when he's better at me at something just because he's a man. He's better at plenty of things because his brain works one way and mine works another, but this seems to honestly just be a gender related thing. And it makes me really crabby that he can do it and I can't.

I'm not very mature.
I'm with DK on this one, Barb. Learned helplessness can be a good thing.

You're lucky. Even when B weed-eats our lawn, it always takes him half a day, not ten minutes.

It's just one of those things. For example: I could play a video game for hours, get really good at it, and my brother could come up and, never having picked it up in his life, beat me. (I guess this is my version of your yard...)

Sometimes life'll deal you this stuff and you just take it.

It can't be a gender thing. It simply can not. If it is, that means I won't have a lovely well edged yard until my boys are old enough to do it or I stop being too cheap to pay someone to do it for me. Inconceivable.

Yeah, but think of all the things YOU can do that he can't....like....um.....lactate! LOL.

Just kidding, there are a lot of things that you can do better than Coop. Just relax...silly.

Please. Can Coop grow a child? Until he can do that, he can have as many "gender related" skills as he wants, you still win. Twice.

Although, I concede, labor doesn't seem like such a good trade-off to being able to make a straight line with a weed whacker...I'm not sure we got the good end of this bargain...
